Ted has his day in court while Huw and Lenny check out their tenancy rights. Damion takes things into his own hands

when Dot refuses to play his game.



03.07.1997



Events from the past few days force Dot to make a life-changing decision. Ted turns his attention to new problems and

appeals to Kathy for help, but Phil is less than sympathetic.



07.07.1997



While Ian rallies support for his neighbourhood watch scheme, Peggy is roughed up by local thugs, causing friction

between Grant and George over what action to take. Elsewhere, Bianca has a flash of inspiration about how to raise

enough cash to put a deposit on a house.



08.07.1997



Grant spends his birthday arguing with George over the best way to sort out the thugs, while Ian goes one step better

and sets about organising a local Neighbourhood Watch scheme. Events take a turn for the worse for Peggy, Ted is feeling

past his sell-by date and an unexpected delivery manages to raise a smile with Pauline.



10.07.1997



Annie's unorthodox methods of dealing with trouble land her in hot water, while Peggy and Grant find themselves in a

spot of bother of their own. Dot's friends hear surprising news about her.



14.07.1997



Ian finally shows the generous side of his nature by tempting customers with free food at his new chip shop, while

dreaming up ways of getting his missing kids back. Tony is dismayed to find himself in the spotlight again as he and

Polly become the focus of local gossip and Robbie hears good news about Wellard.



15.07.1997



A delighted Barry concludes that it does pay to mix business with pleasure. Tony is horrified when he finds himself

with some explaining to do about his less than professional relationship with Polly. Gita, having grave reservations

about Sanjay's long-term plans, warns him against counting his chickens before they're hatched.



17.07.1997



Polly and Tony's relationship is put to the test when Tony spills the beans about his personal life and a long-lost

friend arrives in Albert Square looking for Robbie. Grant racks his brains for ways to drum up trade at the Vic, while

Mark and Ruth's plans to become foster parents gather pace when the family placement worker visits.

Barry's love life starts looking up during a romantic date with Vanessa and it's drinks all round at the Vic - courtesy

of Peggy. Lenny tries to get Ricky in on a promising new business venture and Pat offers Tiffany a helping hand. Kathy

tries to make Ted see Sarah isn't a little girl any more.



22.07.1997



Ted spells out his plans for the future, leaving Sarah wondering exactly where she fits in, while Polly and Tony are

distressed by a piece in the Walford Gazette. Peggy offers Grant a piece of advice which could make life easier with

Tiffany.



24.07.1997



Ian puts an interesting proposition to Pat, while the long arm of the law forces Nigel into a corner. Grant has a

romantic encounter which gives him a surprising sense of self-realisation.



28.07.1997



Tension mounts between bickering brothers-in-law Phil and Ted, while Alex makes Sarah realise that Kathy is her only

chance. Peggy's announcement annoys Grant, and Ruth sets out to discover the reason for Mark's recent strange

behaviour.



29.07.1997



Pat gathers together Albert Square's finest throwing talent for a darts showdown. Despite Ruth's assurances that

everything's going to be fine, Mark is forced to make a life-changing decision during a routine visit to the doctors,

while Phil turns to an old friend for solace.



31.07.1997



Bianca grows convinced Ricky is up to something and tries to catch him out, while Grant becomes concerned that Phil's

resolve may be wavering and offers him some brotherly advice. Tiffany discovers a hidden talent.
