Clocking Off 2001 TV Series 1 Complete

Clocking Off is a British television drama series which ran on the BBC One network for four series from
2000 to 2003. It was produced for the BBC by the independent Red Production Company, and created by
Paul Abbott.

This is the complete first series, consisting of six episodes, each with a running time of just under an hour,
the first of which was originally broadcast on the 23rd January, 2000.
Each episode is a self contained story concerning the life of one or more workers at a textile factory in
Manchester, England, showing interactions between both their workmates at the factory and family
members at home. Although each story is basically complete within each episode, there are occasionally
some repercussions carried through into later episodes.

Awards
Each of the four series was nominated for the BAFTA TV Award for Best Drama Series, which it won in
2001.
Overall the four series also received a number of awards for acting and production from the Broadcasting
Press Guild and The Royal Television Society, UK.
