Coast To Coast AM 11-04-2015 Anomalous Star and Space News - Numerology

In the first half, senior astronomer at SETI, Seth Shostak, talked about the anomalous star KIC 8462852 and the methods scientists are using to explore its unusual characteristics, NASA’s big announcement about "water on Mars," and other space news. Data from the Kepler Space Telescope revealed that KIC 8462852 occasionally dimmed as much as 20%, which is far greater than the effect of a planet moving in front of it during its orbit. There's a whole laundry list of possible reasons, including cometary debris created when another star passed near by. The megastructure hypothesis, which suggests an ET civilization placed a Dyson swarm or huge objects around the star to collect energy, "is the least likely horse to bet on," as it's much more probable that there's a natural explanation, we just don't understand yet," Shostak remarked. SETI has been looking for signals from the location and will announce their preliminary findings this Thursday.

Looking for signals from red dwarf stars is a promising avenue, Shostak said, because they're older and smaller than larger suns. The SETI radio telescopes are tuning in to increased areas with more sensitivity than in the past, he added. There is a lot of evidence that at one time Mars had rivers, and lakes, and probably even an ocean. NASA's upcoming announcement about Mars may have to do with why the Red Planet currently has such a thin atmosphere, he postulated.

In the latter half, numerologist Glynis McCants detailed the numerology of Obama, Putin, and the crop of presidential hopefuls. She also spoke about the importance of the "numerology blueprint" in which three numbers are derived from a person's name. In particular, the first vowel in a person's first name yields certain meanings, she said. For instance, those with "E" (5) as in the name George, have an adventurous spirit; "A" (1) as in Mark, tend to be independent and competitive; "I" (9) as in Rita, often have old family issues; "O" (6) as in John, tend to be nurturing; "U" (3) as in Julia, are natural communicators and have a great sense of humor; and "Y" (7) as in Clyde, tend to be mysterious, she outlined.

Regarding the numerology of the presidential candidates, Donald Trump, while in a personal year cycle of "1" which is about winning, will probably not be the nominee, said McCants, adding that Marco Rubio, a "6" lifepath, looks promising to be on the ticket, possibly as the VP. She had good things to say about the coming year, 2016, a "9" year, which will likely be a more positive and lighter cycle than 2015 and 2014.
