Oscarvinnaren Jeff Bridges gör sitt livs rolltolkning i Crazy Heart, den starka berättelsen om en countrysångares vacklande väg mot försoning. Summary
Writer-director Scott Cooper's Crazy Heart follows Bad Blake (Jeff Bridges), a grizzled country singer pushing 60 who is climbing further and further into a bottle and farther away from the spotlight he once basked in as a country music outlaw in the vein of Kris Kristofferson, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Hank Williams Jr. and Waylon Jennings. Bad has endured busted marriages, bouts with booze, has an adult son he doesn't even know, and a protegee, Tommy Sweet (Colin Farrell), who has achieved a level of mainstream success that Bad never did. All in all, things have gone pretty bad for Bad ... and it's nobody's fault but his own. Crazy Heart is the story of how he tries to put the pieces of his life back together, thanks to the love of a good woman, music reporter Jean Craddock (Maggie Gyllenhaal), her young son, and Bad's old bartender buddy Wayne (Robert Duvall). Can Bad clean himself up and get his career back on track before his health or his demons finally do him in?
