this package is created from this outdated project:

it seems to work well on linux:: but windows is intemitent?

this is what i have come up with so far:

everything needed to get it setup on Windows is in this kit..

::TO INSTALL::


install python 2.7.11 from

https://www.python.org/ftp/python/2.7.11/python-2.7.11.msi

or from this folder (included)

drop the VideoLAN Folder from th e vlc files. into your::

C:Program Files
or
C:Program Files (x86)


drop the FFMPEG folder into :

C:/

save

::SETTING UP FFMPEG & Python::

open FFMPEG Folder >

run ff-prompt.bat

to setup FFMPEG & FFPROBE on your system.

OPEN > Control Panel

System > advanced system settings

tab > [Enviroment Variables]



:: create new user vairable ::

vairable name: TEMP2
vairable value: C:FFMPEGbin

vairable name: TEMP3
vairable value: C:Python27



:: create new System Variable ::

Vaiable name: path
variable value: ;c:FFMPEGbin;C:Python27


ok > and close all windows opened.



open command prompt>


type:

python makechannel.py
(place a copy of makechannel.py in te directory where your video files are located)



should see files scrolling in the command window.

wait till it completes then open the new.channel with VLC
