Had to register just to post this. If your game is not saving just delete "save_data" from the data folder. You'll have to calibrate the game and play the tutorial but at least it saves!

Works great!

To those losing their saves, make sure you places the game in a location where it has permissions to edit the file system.

Generally Program Files is more restricted. Your user profile -should- allow for it. I personally have a "c:games" folder that it works in.

In a worst case, open the properties of the root folder (where you see NecroDancer.exe) it's in, select security, and edit the permissions of at least USERS and Authenticated Users to allow for full control.

(NOTE: I'm running Windows 8.1, but I recall it being the same for other versions)
