All the samples have been made tempo- specific (95, 110, 125, 136 and 170 BPM) and split
into sub groups within each tempo folder (Bass, Cymbals, Guitar and Rhythmics).

The Bass loops are reversed bass guitar or bass synth lines, edited to work better
backwards and then processed with EQ, distortion/saturation and compression/limiting.

Each tempo has a different set of four cymbal sources which have been reversed and
arranged to give four basic reversal loops ofdifferent lengths so you can fit them into
a bar, half a bar, etc.’

Four processes were applied to four different guitar sounds, all backwards. The lines
were reversed and edited to fit the meter before processing and carving into loops.

For the Rhythmic section, you’ve got AlgoRev – drum/percussion loops processed
through reverse reverb algorithms in the Kurzweil K2600 Sampler and Yamaha SPX1000
effects units; BackVerb, loops reversed, mixed with reverb/delay and then reversed
back again for that reverse reverb swoosh sound; and Rhythmics: beats and percussion
lines reversed and processed with digital effects – pitching, modulation, distortion, filtering and plenty of compression/limiting.
