 The DE FACTO is a group that counts total more than 20 years of life and 13 years record in the Greek pop / rock scene, which continues to compose, to record and give concerts throughout the country until today. In the late '80s, in Edessa, the four childhood friends and classmates Peter Paraskevas (guitar / vocals), Dimitris Pouliakis (drums), Chris Tresintsis (piano / keyboards / vocals) and Peter Mishka (bass / vocals), with vehicle Gymnasium Anglophone band "Jailbreak" and fuel their love of good pop / rock music begin to play live in Edessa and the surrounding towns, mostly covers, but also their own compositions. The dawn of the next decade, finds the four friends in Thessaloniki, where they decide to turn to Greek verse, to express deeper and more direct communication with the public. At the same time, changing the band name to DE FACTO marking a significant change in their music course and stating their intention broader approach to music and lyrically the themes. In early 1996 - and then the "mandatory break" to fulfill their military obligations - the DE FACTO begin to compose and record demo studio in Thessaloniki, while often appear in every room of the city, and the rest Greece is ideal for concerts. Very soon, manage to become one of the most recognizable bands in Thessaloniki, with his devoted audience, which drew the attention of record companies. They sign their first contract with Legend Records and December 1998 they released their first and namesake, album («De Facto»), was recorded in Run Devil Run studio in Thessaloniki. On the disc, which has a high number of sales for emerging Greek pop / rock band and was warmly welcomed by the public and critics, there are the songs "Iron Heart", "I wonder" and "all the earth's secrets," compositions that easily identify even the younger friends of the band, but an adaptation of the famous folk song "John, my scarf you." These songs prefigures the state chooses to follow the band. A path with no musical blinkers and lyrically taboo, starting from simple pop forms, touches with respect ellinotropous sounds, passes with the same ease and spontaneity of dynamic rock direction and leads to identification, unique sound, which the DE FACTO consistently serve all these years. In November 2000, released his second album of the band by the same company, entitled "Long time nears," which is the favorite to this day the public "not so loving," but songs like "Thirteen "and the title of the disc exceeds the number of sales of 15,000 copies. In the summer of 2002, located in a period of introspection and self-criticism, the DE FACTO put back in the studio and begin recording their third album, which released the end of that year, entitled «De Facto III", and contains the "Thessaloniki" "Street" but also "a lad", another adaptation of folk song. After the release of this disc, terminated its collaboration with the band Legend Records (which in 2004 released a "Best Of" titled "Ballads"), and various developments keep DE FACTO recordings except for a long time, in which, however, continue to play live. In 2006, with the assistance of their friends (Ketoglidi Costas, Dimitri Kokkonidi etc.), the DE FACTO record their fourth album, titled "As the world's edge", who move from their own, independent company FRIDAY RECORDS. From the album stand out "Another day alive / I fear the people," "Spider Web", "Stay with me" and "old neighborhoods" songs with the characteristic sound of the band, which, however, lead the musical direction the band more dynamic paths. The same year, leaving the band in a friendly climate, and Christos Dimitris Pouliakis Tresintsis. In 2007, joins the band Alexandros Apostolakis, a major and established drummer, which, in its long presence in the events of the Greek music scene, boasts collaborations with renowned names (Blues Wire, I. Papakonstantinou, D. Savvopoulos etc. ), who, with the unique style of playing and the dynamics of stage presence, "tied" perfectly with the other band members. All these years, the DE FACTO gave this to the pop / rock scene of the country, not only recording and releasing albums that made sense to the common kind, but with the ongoing, dynamic performances in Greece, thus showing practice their love for music. Now consisting of Peter Paraskevas (guitar / vocals), Peter Mishka (bass / vocals) and Alexandros Apostolakis (drums / vocals), is now a tight, concise and dynamic musical trio, enjoying the love of every public appearance and to reciprocate in the only way he knows well: writing songs and it gives the passionate live in front of the old - and loyal - and young - and enthusiastic - friends.
