Tony West vertrekt naar California om daar carriere te maken. Hij gaat dansen in het theater met de sexy Gloria Vance.
Hij wordt een ster, speelt in veel films en trouwt met Gloria. Alles gaat goed, tot de 2e wereldoorlog begint.
Tony wordt afgekeurd, maar durft dit niet tegen zijn vrouw te zeggen. Ze gaan uit elkaar omdat Gloria denkt dat Tony een lafaard is.
