Het verhaal gaat over de succesvolle plastisch chirurg Tessa (Tjitske Reidinga), die op het punt staat haar privékliniek te openen. Maar gelukkig is ze niet. Haar huwelijk dreigt op de klippen te lopen. Tegelijkertijd lijkt de verbouwing van hun huis een ramp te worden. Als Tessa zich vervolgens inlaat met een oude vriend (Peter Blok), lijkt er geen uitweg meer mogelijk.
