Description
The band was formed in 1998 in Skawina, a small town near Cracow, Poland.
Only two people have remained of the original line–up: Paulina Maslanka (vocal, lyrics) and Jaroslaw Baran (leader of the band and the main composer of Delight). The band’s first release was the album Last Temptation, which came out in 2000 for the Polish rock and metal label Metal Mind Records. The second album, The Fading Tale, appeared the following year. The next full–length album, Eternity, was released in 2002. 2003 saw the band’s first concert DVD – The Last Tale of Eternity. Finally, the band's fourth album Anew was released in 2004. The new face of the band was a melodic, energetic and heavy rock with metal influences. The year 2005 brought the most important turning point in the band's career. Delight won the award for BEST UNSIGNED GOTHIC ACT INTERNATIONAL at the Wave Gotik Treffen in Leipzig, Germany. The contest was organized by the German magazine Orkus, Roadrunner Records, Wave Gotik Treffen and Mastersound Entertainment. Less than a year ago, Delight signed a long term deal with Roadunner Records, and they are in the process of working on their first album for this major label. It is expected that it will be released this year. The album is being produced by Rhys Fulber, famous for his work with Fear Factory, Paradise Lost, and Front Line Assembly, to name but a few.
