Los Angeles, 1996: il sergente John Spartan, chiamato "Demolition Man", riesce finalmente a catturare l'immane criminale Simon Phoenix, solo che nell'esplosione di un palazzo restano

coinvolti anche gli ostaggi (30 passeggeri di un autobus). Entrambi i protagonisti vengono quindi condannati a "congelamento correttivo" in un criopenitenziario.

Il 3 agosto 2032, durante la prima udienza per il rilascio, Phoenix riesce a liberarsi e fuggire, commettendo i primi omicidi. La polizia interviene ma si ritrova impreparata a far fronte

alla violenza di Phoenix..................


Storyline

Frozen in 1996, Phoenix, a convicted killer is "thawed" out for parole well into the 21st century. Revived into a crime free society, Phoenix resumes his murderous rampage, and no one can

stop him. Spartan, the cop who captured Phoenix in 1996 has also been cryogenically frozen, this time for a crime he didn't commit. In desperation they turn to Spartan to help recapture
