INFO:

Swedish death metal group Demonical issue fourth full-length album Darkness Unbound on September 20th, 2013 through Cyclone Empire Records. The self-produced outing was cut at Necromorbus Studios in Stockholm, Sweden, with mixing and mastering duties handled by Sverker Widgren at Wing Studios. Darkness Unbound’s cover artwork was designed by Daniel Valencia.

Actually, it's almost unbelievable that we only two years after the quite wholesome "Death Infernal" a new album by the Swedish death masters DEMONICAL have lying on counters. Were the forces of the former CENTINEX-Mucker been known since its inception in 2006 for resistance, has gang boss and bassist Martin Schulman huge dug in the last two years and replaced by Sverker Widgren shouter on the complete staff. New on board So now the two are TORMENTION-Mucker Daniel Gustavsson (guitar) and Amir Batar (dr), as well as second guitarist Johan Haglund of IKHON. The makeover has DEMONICAL anyway done well, because "Darkness Unbound" can safely be described as a previous career highlight. This begins in the first place already with the powerful, yet for Swedish Death typical morbid production continues through the elaborate and sometimes exciting songwriting ( about the ingenious design of the epic final point "The Great Praise") and extends to the implementation of the radical inventiveness. Clearly what is perhaps most important-you tell the difference between DEMONICAL and drölfzigtausend Rogga-Johansson-bands. This means that although DEMONICAL are clearly rooted in the old school, but their compositions also always a fat dose in narrow wealth of melody and versatility. Thus, brutish-rapid thrashing of stomping mid-tempo parts, aggressive blast attacks on lava-like sound rolls lined up - fun. spite of all this, the Swedes have overall significantly gained momentum and in direct comparison to its predecessor more value to bite than to sustainability set. Particularly strong arrest in memory remain bumpy smasher as "The Order", "Contempt And Conquest" or "The Healing Control" - lame the songs, especially in the early stages partly like peas in a pod same but is actually a little bit. On there is by soft-toned guitar solos, irresistible Widgren's Tomb bawling and the precise and flawless drumming. , As does the fine KREATOR cover "World Beyond" good end to the album. DEMONICALs way is in any case more steeply and "Darkness Unbound" is unquestionably the best record of previous discography.

Phew, now it has become really challenging to find an introduction for an upcoming release in Swedish old school Death Metal sector. As if that was not annoying enough, now spins around the generator for it and has to be improvised. Swedish fans Sägekunst must DEMONICAL but probably not imagine from Avesta, because they have earned themselves with their release cycle in the two-year clock a decent fanbase and publish on 20 September "Darkness Unbound" their Fourth Ling. goes Similar cheerful as in the songwriting phase with Martin Schulman's (ex CENTINEX) and Sverker Widgren with the occupation carousel swing. These two seem to now be the only solid part of the death squads, others probably thought that the list of their ex-bands can be quietly extended a little. Granted, I know my way there now even more so really, listen to the two exes Fredrik Widigs (drums) and Johan Jansson (guitars; INTERMENT) to "Darkness Unbound" yet. Whether the origin of which under the brilliantly-dubious slogan "Let us remain friends but simply" expire? We do not know, possibly the Swedish tabloids white as accurate. Sweden The good many Connections is so commonly that they often times do not differ a micrometer of what it represents - no matter what the circumstances. This is true of "Darkness Unbound" but then only partially, even if "The Order" after a brief title track, which serves as a sombre intro, sweeping away. The slight cross-references towards AMON AMARTH, who already had DEMONICAL with "Death Infernal", can be heard here again, be on album length but not as exhausted as yet on the said predecessor. "An Endless Celebration" is there already substantially straighter and oldschooliger and has some really strong rhythm changes. Even if you could it possibly never believed in this genre, the Swedes have also become the "Darkness Unbound" a little more open towards new influences, black death metal on their way to NECROPHOBIC'sche ("Contempt And Conquest"), squint with "The Healing Control" every now and then to Gothenburg and show this slight thrash tendencies can deliver with "Hellfire Empire" and "Death Crown" but also good old-numbers, without reaching the class of a "Hellsworn" Killers. And this is also the problem that I had with "Death Infernal" and "The Great Praise" comes up again in the final (except for the bonus tracks times) "Words Are Death" and: DEMONICAL are in their very tight limits quite open to all sorts of influences from extreme metal to remove it but a little too much. from the simplicity that had the debut of "Servants Of The Unlight" and "Hellsworn" still holds, and that this was very good to them but face Despite its "Darkness Unbound" is slightly stronger than its predecessor, because it is at least not too much stylistics nestled on the AMON AMARTH, but something goes straight to the point. Nevertheless, it already had this year by far stronger releases in Elchtod sector, and so the fourth string of DEMONICAL falls just a little off.
