Deng Xiaoping - Works and Contexts (Size: 49.24 MB)
Description
Deng Xiaoping is largely responsible for cleaning up the mess Mao and the Gang of Four's made of China. Deng's economic reforms of Maoism are seen by many scholars to have paved the way for China's current economic success.
In the West, he has been largely known for his part in the Tiananmen Square Massacre of 1989. Following the massacres, Deng's power waned and this contributed in part to the ascent of Jiang Zemin as "Paramount Leader" following Deng's political retirement in 1992. Included here are selected works of Deng Xiaoping as well as several biographies of Deng and political histories to contextualize the Deng era. Sharing Widget |
