Description

          TRAMA:
            Behman (Nicolas Cage) è un crociato del XIV secolo che assieme al suo compagno d’ armi Felson (Ron Perlman) abbandona le crociate e decide di tornare a casa. Per questo atto, Behman viene considerato un disertore. Nel viaggio di rientro Behman trova la propria terra devastata dalla peste. La chiesa ritiene che la stregoneria sia responsabile della peste. Giunti in una chiesa assediata dal morbo, ai due crociati viene chiesto di prendere in custodia una strega, ritenuta la causa della pestilenza, e di portarla fino ad una remota abbazia, dove i monaci possono compiere il rituale di esorcismo nel tentativo di fermare l’ epidemia. Behman accetta l’ incarico, ma quando la compagnia arriva all’ abbazia, una tremenda scoperta mette in dubbio il cavaliere.
