DreadOut to survival horror pełnymi garściami czerpiący z mitów indonezyjskich. Jest to debiutancki projekt niezależnego studia Digital Happiness.
Gra opowiada historię niewielkiej grupy licealistów, która podczas wycieczki gubi szlak i trafia do opuszczonego miasteczka. Szybko okazuje się, że miejsce to objęły w panowanie siły nadnaturalne. DreadOut oparty jest na autentycznym folklorze mieszkańców Indonezji, więc w trakcie przygód natkniemy się na zjawy i upiory pochodzące z lokalnych legend, takie jak Tuyul, Pocong czy Kunti. Zapewnia to świeże wrażenia, gdyż istoty te nie gościły do tej pory w grach.
Główną inspiracją autorów była konsolowa seria Fatal Frame. Kierowana przez nas licealistka imieniem Linda jest praktycznie bezbronna, więc nie znajdziemy tutaj żadnych sekwencji walki. Zamiast tego większość czasu spędzamy na unikaniu upiorów i rozwiązywaniu zagadek. Przetrwanie ułatwiają nam gadżety, takie jak smartfon czy kamera cyfrowa. Urządzenia te często umożliwiają dostrzeżenie rzeczy niewidocznych dla ludzkiego oka.

DreadOut is a survival horror handfuls derived from the Indonesian myths . This is the debut project independent studio Digital Happiness .
The game tells the story of a small group of high school students who lost while hiking the trail and goes to an abandoned town. It soon becomes clear that this place is included in the reign of supernatural forces . DreadOut is based on authentic folklore of the inhabitants of Indonesia , so in the course of adventures we come across ghosts and ghouls from local legends, such as Tuyul , Pocong or Kunti . This provides a fresh impression, since these creatures not visited so far in the game .
The main inspiration was the console authors Fatal Frame series . Led by our high school girl named Linda is practically defenseless , so you will not find here any fight sequence . Instead, most of the time we spend on avoiding ghosts and solving puzzles. Surviving help us gadgets such as a smartphone or a digital camera . These devices often allow noticing things invisible to the human eye .
