"Solid Southern Rock Album Reviewer: Brian D. Rubendall Drivin'n'Cryin was a very good, but often overlooked Southern rock band in the tradition of Lynyrd Skynyrd or The Allman Brothers. Though not in the same class as their predecessors, they did release a string of solid albums, of which "Mystery Road" is one of the better. The sound veers back and forth between country rock and more blues oriented hard rock. The songwriting is inconsistent, but occasionally achieves great heights, such as on the excellent country ballad "Straight to Hell," the hard rocking "Honeysuckle Blue" that turns in unexpected musical directions, and the accoustic "With the People." All told there is not really a bad performance in the mix, though a few of the songs are obvious filler tracks." http://www.amazon.com/Mystery-Road-Drivin-N-Cryin/dp/B000001FUM/sr=1-7/qid=1157430283/ref=sr_1_7/102-1612792-5960102?ie=UTF8&s=music Product Details * Audio CD (June 15, 1990) * Original Release Date: January 1, 1989 * Label: Island * ASIN: B000001FUM * average customer review: 4.5 / 5.0 based on 12 reviews. * Amazon.com Sales Rank: #48,258 in Music 1.
