Description

This is a vinyl transcription from one of the very first fusion jazz artists. Gary Burton pioneered the style of playing the vibrophone with two mallets in each hand, something that was emulated but never matched. This RCA LP has sonic qualities in line with their LSC classical catalog...very natural sounding without warm 3-D sound and no compression. In other words-this sounds LIVE, and not too far removed from the best direct-to-disk recordings.

It was transcribed using a $2500 Lyra Helikon SL cartridge and a $15,000 custom tube phono stage.

This is a reseed of an earlier torrent I uploaded, but with metadata (this is the first time I have tried to add metadata to individual FLAC files), and with the clumsy Bitcomet padding files removed.
