Duster-Gary Burton Quartet audiophile vinyl rip (Size: 189.25 MB)
Description
One of the seminal-if not the first of the jazz-fusion albums. This also features Lary Coryell on guitar and has *lots* of vibrophone and his innovative four mallet technique (two mallets in each hand). The recording quality is excellent-a very live in-studio sound that was almost endemic to the late 60s RCA studios. This album was released in 1967.
This rip was made using a Lyra Helikon SL moving coil cartridge into a custom built tube phono stage (that replaced a much expensive Aesthetix Io Signature). I would rather not at this point reveal the provenance of the turntable, but it was more than adequate for the job. Sharing Widget |
