Rumour has it that the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra might be the best orchestra in the World. Well, it might not be the best, but it is certainly among the top five. This release of dvorak’s 8th symphony is slow, the slowest version i know. But man, what a performance. They are playing with so much drive, panache and gusto. I’ve been listening to it at least a hondred times, and i still like it so much. i tend te grab to this cd every time i intend to listen to classical music. This is indeed, in my opinion, a great recording. Enjoy!!
