That's saying a lot. Elis looks so sweet on the album sleeve. The unlikely combination works perfectly. The level of professionalism is astounding. Elis shines with her young, perfectly pitched voice, but Toots always finds a space to add one of his incredible solos playing his chromatic harmonica or whistling along with his guitar. A lot of the songs are well-known classics. The arrangements are simple and without orchestrations (with the exception of A Volta), yet refined. Some of the songs are given their best interpretation; I'm thinking of Canto de Ossanha and especially the heart-rending A Volta, where Elis seems to be literally pouring her soul out.
