OVERVIEW:
ERGO (Patent Pending) is a biometric authentication application designed specifically for Android smartphones. By combining the most natural of all phone gestures - lifting your phone to your ear - with the unique geometry of your ear, we have created a robust and reliable mobile device security solution that is easy to use, non-invasive and non-distracting.

HOW IT WORKS:
ERGO (Patent Pending) verifies an individual’s identity against a profile stored on the device before access is granted to the device. An individual’s identity is verified as an authorized operator by combining a physiological biometric, data derived from direct measurement of the ear, with a behavioral biometric, data derived from the physical action taken by a person as they raise their smartphone and press it to their ear.

WHAT TO DO:
Users are encouraged to PRESS their EAR to the CENTER of the phone when they capture a scan (to create a profile or to authenticate). ERGO relies on additional sensors embedded in most smartphone including the accelerometer to measure the phone's tilt at the precise moment the ear taps the phone. Best advice, be consistent.
