Francia Vs Romania  Trama: Il campionato europeo di calcio 2016 o Euro 2016 o Francia 2016 è la 15ª edizione del torneo per squadre nazionali maschili organizzato dalla UEFA, la cui fase finale viene ospitata dalla Francia dal 10 giugno 2016 al 10 luglio 2016. In precedenza, la stessa nazione aveva ospitato le edizioni del 1960 e del 1984. La principale novità nel formato riguarda l'allargamento del numero di partecipanti da 16 a 24, riprendendo la formula che caratterizzò i campionati mondiali dal 1986 al 1994. La vittoria del torneo garantirà il diritto di partecipazione alla Confederations Cup 2017. Tuttavia, in caso di vittoria da parte di Germania oppure Russia (già qualificate in rappresentanza della FIFA in quanto una vincitrice dello scorso Mondiale e l'altra paese ospitante della competizione) a partecipare sarà la finalista sconfitta. Come in tutte le altre edizioni precedenti degli Europei di calcio disputate dal 1984 in poi, non ci sarà nemmeno a Francia 2016 la finale per il terzo posto. The 2016 UEFA European Championship, commonly referred to as UEFA Euro 2016 or simply Euro 2016, is the 15th edition of the UEFA European Championship, the quadrennial international men's football championship of Europe organized by UEFA. It is currently being held in France from 10 June to 10 July 2016. Spain are the two-time defending champions, having won the 2008 and 2012 editions. For the first time, the European Championship final tournament will be contested by 24 teams, having been expanded from the 16-team format used since 1996. Under this new format, the finalists will contest a group stage consisting of six groups of four teams, followed by a knockout stage including three rounds and the final. Nineteen teams – the top two from each of the nine qualifying groups and the best third-placed team – joined France, who qualified automatically as hosts; a series of two-legged play-off ties between the remaining third-placed teams in November 2015 decided the last four spots at the final tournament.
