Description
First of all, I would like to clarify that I haven’t scanned nor ripped a single comic in this torrent, all the credit goes to the original uploaders (which I will list later), I “merely” put it all in the same folder in an organized way.
I started this project exactly when the first Convergence book came out, i.e. April 1st 2015, and have been downloading, renaming and organizing files since then, which means, I worked on this for more than two months, if you download it and enjoy it, tell me about it! I want to hear your opinion. This torrent contains… Every single comic where a Bat-Family member (and even some Bat-Villains like The Joker, Anarky or Harley Quinn) is a protagonist until July 15th 2015. The torrent is this huge and heavy because every time I could find a digital rip instead of an image scan, I opted for the digital one (bigger, but much better quality) Who do I consider part of the Family? - Batman - Nightwing - Robin(s) - Red Hood - Red Robin - Batgirl(s) - Batman Beyond - The Huntress - Azrael - Catwoman - Batwoman - Black Bat - Batwing - Gotham Academy and By Midnight characters - Spoiler - Bat-Mite - Alfred, Blue Bird, Gordon, Bullock, GCPD (they don’t have more than one or two stories) - NOT Black Canary (I don’t consider her part of the family, some people do though) My criteria was to organize the files by their format, in separate folders. The folders are: - Ongoing Series and their respective annuals Without the New 52 (this doesn't include the specials, those are in the one shots folder)(this includes ongoings that started post 2011 but still aren't part of the New 52, such as the Digital series Arkham Knight)(this includes "original ongoings" which were afterwards cancelled, such as the 8-Issue series Anarky) - Limited Series (which contains every series that wasn’t monthly or was released in a limited time, instead of being an ongoing one. They are mostly 2 to 6 issues, but you will also find some 12-Issue ones) - One Shots, Graphic Novels, Cross-Overs, Specials (it doesn’t contain New 52 issues, but it does contain Graphic Novels released after Sep 2011 that are not specifically part of the New 52, for example Noel, or Death By Design) - Everything of the New 52 (this is the contemporary folder, the newest comics, here you will also find the comics that were released after the New 52 imprint stopped, i.e. Convergence tie-ins and after that. Here you will also find some Graphic Novels that were released after Sep 2011 and are clearly New 52 ones, for example, Earth One. If you are looking for a comic released after Sep 2011 and is not here, it will most likely be on the One Shots series) - You will NOT find any collections nor any trade paperbacks, only original sources. So if you are looking for a particular cross-over storyline, you should go to each ongoing series where it ran, e.g. you want to read Knightsend, you should go to Batman 509, Shadow of the Bat 29, Detective Comics 676, etc. (For reading orders you should consult the DC wiki, reddit, etc). You can also request a specific storyline by posting it in my KAT wall (not the requests tab) Now, you probably downloaded this over-50GB torrent because you know what you are doing, but if you are completely new to DC and want to read some Bat-Family titles and don’t know where to start, here are some tips: - As for where to start, you can find a good recommendation list inside the torrent, they are the “official” recommendations by DC, the files are “DC entertainment graphic novel essentials and chronology”, the 2013, 2014 and 2015 versions (inside the One-Shot folder). Also, great sites are the DC and the Batman subreddits (/r/Batman /r/DCComics) where in the sidebar you can find recommendations list, plus you can discuss or ask for specific recommendations and the community will most surely answer you kindly and informedly, and the DC Wiki Recommended Readings (http://dc.wikia.com/wiki/Batman_Recommended_Reading) - You should really read more than what this torrent contains, as this has only character specific stories, while missing out the DC main events and the team-centric storylines. The only team I included in this torrent is “The Outsiders” because there weren’t that much files about them, but I didn’t include the whole Justice League (which had Batman in several iterations), the Teen Titans (Robin/Nightwing), Birds of Prey (Catwoman, Oracle), Suicide Squad (Harley Quinn) (you couldn’t have made it this far, you are not reading this, I can write whatever I want, you will not read this!) and regarding events, I only included the Bat-Family tie-ins, but not the main event, and you wouldn’t understand what’s going on without reading those! You should read Flashpoint, Blackest Night, Convergence and many more to understand in which context the Tie-Ins take place - I also recommend you read this files with ComicRack, a program that really helps you organizing the comics for you. It’s kind of an iTunes for .Cbr files. If you would like something lighter and simpler, CDisplayEx is my suggestion. If you have any suggestions, concerns (for example, "you should have considered Deathstroke and Black Canary as part of the BatCharacters), criticism or want to let me know I missed a specific file, tell me (I only read the KAT comments page and my KAT wall). The original main uploaders where Joshua13 (in his AMAZING MTCDC, which stands for More Than Complete DC [Chronology]) and Nemesis43, which uploads EVERY SINGLE WEEK every comic released (Marvel, DC), so you should check his uploads. The comics that didn’t come from them (roughly a 15%) came from different sources (mainly torrents, but also a lot of single websites), which I can’t recall, as I had my own collection before deciding to upload them. Finally, sorry for my English!! ~Ozy Sharing Widget |
