Fawlty Towers (Complete) Divx subbed - Volume 1 of 3

Well here we are folks, the complete series finally in individual episode files and with divx embedded German and French subtitles too. (Use on your divx disc player and as well with divx computer software player such as latest version 6.8 - enable subtitles in preferences section, and then right click when viewing the program in order to select the subtitle track so that the subtitles come on).

We tried for 720 x 480 and the divx author software program put out by the creators of the divx standard, said it was creating just that and voila we got 640 X 480 instead (perhaps the bit rate dictates the final resolution in some way - who is to say!0 In any event, its a nice lovely full screen picture as before.

If you downloaded the previous full volume, you may be happy enough to stay as you are. You could use some software to split your volume files into individual episodes perhaps. it typically takes Divx author 2 hours to separate a single episode (or longer depending on your computer speed). If you downloaded the new small file sized efficient divx subtitled episodes we put up yesterday, you may be able to use them by slipping them into the folder thats created when you start to download these new volumes that have individual episodes in them separated into individual files. If you do, you'll have to use the re-check facility in your bittorrent software to see if you have the complete volume for seeding already, rather than downloading anything again.

That said, we are making available the extras in separate volume offerings as well so that you can decide if its something that interests you.

More and more such british programs are becoming shelved, no longer available. Fawlty Towers may soon be next since a savvy consumer and socially astute civis romanus simply wont put out the dough that was held out for in order to gain fancy packaging on a series that has long run its course. That said, it has some lovely memories, and lessons for us all. enjoy! Michael Chessman
