Fellini's Amarcord - 1973

Most of Federico Fellini's movies were deliberately bizarre, but"Amarcord" is toned down slightly. That doesn't mean that it's notgood. On the contrary, it's another masterpiece. In this case, hefocuses on a small town in 1930s Italy, as seen from the eyes of ateenage boy. It's a world of Mussolini's fascism, and a movie theaterfull of many classic movies. A particularly interesting scene has themburning "the witch", and there's a little bit of a mishap (or maybe itwasn't a mishap).



Anyway, "Amarcord" is another great movie from the man who may havebeen Italy's greatest director in history. A true classic.
