When rumors start to swirl through the small farming community, Elizabeth must decide between the happiness Chase offers and the safety of denying her passion. The discovery that Chase might be hiding something about her past pushes Elizabeth into a public denial of her feelings, and flight back to her barren life in Washington State.

As time passes, Elizabeth comes to realize that she has made the wrong choice. Even so, when Chase comes to her door asking forgiveness, Elizabeth isn't sure she can open her heart once again to the woman she loves.
