Struggling to look like she actually cares as her students make their painfully insipid comments on Hamlet or Sir Gawain or Beowulf... Trying to believe her Typ Supremacy father is really on her side despite his politics... This is Louise's life. And she thinks: this is what it always will be.

And then Sloane Fulton walks into her classroom. And she's beautiful and far too young and, Louise will find out later, far too dangerous...

But damned if Louise doesn't find herself irrevocably in love just the same.
