The Complete Season 1


Flashpoint is about an elite tactical unit, called the Strategic Response Unit (SRU), within a Canadian metropolitan police force (styled on the Toronto Police Emergency Task Force). The SRU are tasked to resolve extreme situations that regular officers are not trained to handle including hostage-taking, bomb threats and heavily armed criminals. Equipped with high-tech tools and a cache of weapons and explosives, members use negotiation tactics and intuition to try to avoid the use of force.

List of Episodes:

S01E01 -Scorpio-
The team has to deal with a disturbed man who has just murdered his estranged wife and who has now taken a woman hostage outside of an office building. However, the situation only gets worse when his son arrives on the scene. Meanwhile, new team member Sam Braddock arrives.


S01E02 -First In Line-
A dying girl desperately needs a heart transplant and her father will do whatever it takes to make sure she gets one, even if it means endangering his own life. The team is called in and Greg attempts to confront his own feelings to defuse the situation.


S01E03 -The Element of Surprise-
The team helps out some undercover agents who are involved in a major drug bust. However, the operation goes haywire when an ex-junkie gets involved.


S01E04 -Asking for Flowers-
When a cop is being held hostage by an enraged family member, the team has to set aside their own feelings to resolve the situation. However, the tables turn when the hostage may not be who the team thinks.


S01E05 -Who's George-
When the infamous Monday Morning Robber's takedown of a major bank goes south, the SRU must use every tactical trick in the book to save the robber's hostages, before he makes good on his threat to kill them all.


S01E05 -Attention Shoppers-
Tasha Redford is an awkward 16-year old with a chronically alcoholic mother and who has always been a perfect target for bullies. When a dangerous gang inflicts a vicious and humiliating "uglying-up" on Tasha at a mall, she finally explodes and shoots one of the gang. The SRU is called and Jules chases Tasha to an outdoor advertising tower where she will be forced to talk Tasha down.


S01E07 -He Knows His Brother-
A teenager escapes military school to save his younger brother from their abusive father, but when the father ends up shot, the father's reputation as a reputable lawyer may shift the blame to his son.


S01E08 -Never Kissed a Girl-
When a young man named Michael Jamson holds Ed and a Court Officer hostage in an attempt to clear his name for a crime he didn't commit, the SRU tries to safely rescue their colleague and arrest Michael without any losses.


S01E09 -Planets Aligned-
The SRU attempts to rescue a kidnapped little girl who is being held at a booby-trapped house, but while on the job they learn that one of the abductors is a teen girl who went missing herself eight years earlier.
