This is the latest ffmpeg as of April 21st. It has been compiled with many options and is statically linked. This means you can use this without having to have installed any compilers, downloaded the source, installed any additional codecs, etc. Just uncompress and move to /usr/local/bin. This was built on ubuntu 8.04.
I made this to aid people who want to try to use encode-handheld.pl but do not have the skills necessary to compile their own version of ffmpeg.
It is linked against this version of x264 (built 3 days prior)
