DescriptionFrankenstein (Mysteries/Sci-Fi) Unabridged Audiobook by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley (Author) Narrated by Ralph Cosham Product Details Series: Mysteries/Sci-Fi Audiobook Publisher: In Audio (June 30, 2002) Language: English ISBN-10: 1584722525 ISBN-13: 978-1584722526 Often inaccurately portrayed in movies, this story of a man creating man is a fascinating thriller. About the Author Mary (Wollstonecraft) Shelley was brought up by her father and stepmother as her mother died a few days after delivering her in 1797. At the age of 16 she ran away to France and Switzerland with the poet Percy Shelley. She married him in 1816 after his wife committed suicide by drowning. Although she had written other books such as ‘Lodore’, ‘Faulkner’ and ‘Mathilde,’ none of them carried the essence of her work as did ‘Frankenstein.’ This well-known story started as her contribution to a ghost-story competition. Percy Shelley died in a shipwreck in 1822. Mary spent the remainder of her life championing her husband’s neglected poetry. She died in her sleep at the age of fifty-four. Related Torrents
