Futuristic thriller set in the year 2009, where pollution, the hole in the ozone layer, and the financial gap between the social classes have grown to horrific proportions. Good cast and performances all around. Plot:
Auto racer Alex Furlong (Emilio Estevez) is 'jacked' across time, a split second before a fatal explosion, by Vasendak (Mick Jagger) and his 21st-century team of 'bonejackers', who plan to sell his healthy body to the recently deceased CEO of McCandless Corporation (Anthony Hopkins), for a mind transfer. He escapes, but has no rights in this nightmare future of violence, disease and sleaze. The story follows his efforts at survival, and his attempt to revive his relationship with his fiancée Julie (Rene Russo), now 18 years older and a top executive at McCandless.
