The Series is an American horror television series developed by Robert Rodriguez. It forms part of the franchise of film, direct-to-video, comic and cult following of From Dusk till Dawn, expanding on the chronicles of the Gecko Brothers: Seth and Richie, The Fuller family, and Santanico Pandemonium.[1] The series premiered on March 11, 2014,[2][3] on Rodriguez's newly launched channel El Rey.[4] Outside the United States and Latin America, the series is marketed as a Netflix original.[5]

It is being produced by FactoryMade Ventures in association with Miramax and executive produced by Rodriguez.[6][7]

The series adds to the tone of the film, with new characters and backstories, while expanding the creatures' Mesoamerican mythology.[4]

PLOT: From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series is a supernatural crime saga centered around bank robber Seth Gecko and his violent, unpredictable brother, Richie Gecko, who are wanted by the FBI and Texas Rangers after a bank heist left several people dead. While on the run to Mexico, Seth and Richie encounter former minister Jacob Fuller and his family, whom they take hostage. Using the family RV to cross the border, chaos ensues when the group detours to a strip club populated by vampires. They are forced to fight until dawn in order to get out alive.

The series deepens the tone of the original film, adds new characters and back stories and expands the Mesoamerican mythology behind the creatures inside the club.
