Following in the footsteps of his elder California Mr. Bungle, Faith No More and The Red Hot Chili Peppers, the group, founded in 1991, won with a detonating mixture of hip-hop, funk and metal. Then Incubus chose to soften its formula by incorporating pop melodies with furious riffs. With Make Yourself (1999) and Morning View (2001), they became one of alternative rock bands of the most popular United States, uniting their audience around clever texts and progressive messages. After the success of 2006 Light Grenades, Incubus household a break before returning in 2011 with If Not Now, When?

Incubus formed in high school in Calabasas, California. The singer and percussionist Brandon Boyd, guitarist Mike Einziger, bassist Dirk Lance (real name Alex Katunich) and finally the drummer José Pasillas, are teenagers with very eclectic tastes, lovers rock, hip-hop, jazz, funk or electro.

Incubus preferred not choose to clear guideline: the four pieces of the EP are quite different, even though they represent a musical face of the group. Trust Fall, the title track is a real return to the style of A Crow Left of the Murder. A piece rock and worked to clear chorus instrumentation. If the song is reinventing anything, finding the game so special and with Einziger accuracy Kenney / rhythm Pasillas made a very foolish. Make Out Party is a strange mix of instrumentation evoking almost doom metal (guitars tuned very low and slow and heavy rhythm) and singing more pop than ever. The association can be perplexing but we must at least acknowledge the group yet merit reaching renewal.
