Description



The conventional image of medieval England at Christmas time around 1300 ACE is of people listening to music composed 400 years later, in what amounts to an almost entirely different lanugage, and certainly a musical style none of those born at the time would have understood. This album focuses on the original Christmas music of the period, with the performances of Sinfonye providing expert interpretation.

Transfers are made at 256 kBits/s, directly from the disc. Essay with full texts and translations provided.
