Gamal Abdel Nasser - Selected Works (Size: 94.14 MB)
Description
Gamal Abdel Nasser was Egypt's 2nd president (from 1956-1970) and
instrumental in the overthrow of King Faruk in 1952 in a military coup d'etat. Included here is his one written work and several speeches. Nasser is famous for his brand of Pan-Arab Socialism non-too-shockingly called Nasserism. Finding translated copies of Nasser's works is extraordinarily difficult in print. Along with Tito, he was one of the founders of the "Non-Aligned Movement" which cleverly exploited the Cold War for foreign aid. Included here is a speech referencing that. Additionally the JFK-Nasser exchange on Palestine is provided and is of considerable historical interest as are several speeches indicative of Nasserism.
