Genesis Secrets of the Bible Story of Creation by Rudolf Steiner

He explains the reality behind Jehovah, variant translations from the Hebrew, and the correspondence of the Genesis account with the anthroposophical description of the evolutionary periods.

They comprise the repetition of condition that preceded the solidifying of the Earth. The depth of detail gives a new dimension to the biblical story and to the creation of man as a spiritual being before he descended to take on a fleshly body. One is left with a feeling of awe at the sublime picture of the deeds of the Elohim and other hierarchies.
