At the last show in Utica, I believe the statement was made "Just when you think it can't get any better- it does, and frequently." Tonight's show proved that point. Blind Man In The Dark got the show moving and building steam. Perfect Shelter came next and just added fuel to the fire, as did Banks Of The Deep End and the still new Three String George. Steaming along almost to the point of explosion, the Mule calmed it down a bit with Child Of The Earth before heating it up again with Thorazine Shuffle and then; just when it couldn't get any better- it did. Jimmy Vivino came out and traded licks with Warren on 32/20 Blues. End of set 1... Whew!

Set two started chugging along out of the station with Trane and a soulful Temporary Saint. And once again, it got better. Bernie Worrell played a jam out of drums and through Lively Up Yourself before handing the stage back to the boys for the crowd-chanting Thirty Days In The Hole and a fitting Mule as the set closer. End Of Set 2. Whew!!

Guess what. Yup, it got better still. The boiler has now blown apart completely and now on stage for Crossroads is Warren, Andy and Danny joined by Bernie Worrell on keys, Jimmy Vivino on guitar, Felix Cabrera on harp and James Wormworth on drums. I don't know that a written description would suffice for that much talent on one stage. Matt returned to join in as did Bernie and Jimmy for That's What Love Will Make You Do as the show closer; and what a show it was. Whew!!!
