Description

All the outside SFX/Foley was recorded out and about on our travels using our trusty
Zoom H4n recorder and a variety of mics. The scene FX were all faked using the Foley
we’d collected previously. For example, the ‘Arctic’ scene was made using several
processed wind noises from the SH-101, and the snow steps were pitchshifted gravel.

For the synth loops, atmos and FX, we used Camel Audio’s Alchemy soft synth, which
allows you to import WAVs to use as sound sources. We used a variety of the Foley
recordings as sources and heavily processed the results.

All the SH-101 FX patches were taken from the original manual, and we were surprised
just how convincing some of the sounds were – especially the wind.
