Game is crashing at the bridge and getting error "hl2.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close" after that this error comes "The instruction at "0x24113524" referenced memory at "0x0edb5f04". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program." Can any good heart give me the solution. I'm already playing half life 2 and really willing a lot to play this next one. below is a screenshot of the problem in case any good heart need in giving me the solution......

From what i read from the comments.

After extracting and installing the game, you have to navigate to the location you have installed it then you open the platform folder that is there. Open it then delete steam folder.
If you have steam installed on your machine is that it appears in the taskbar then close it completely. After that the game should work!!
