Harper's Pictoral History of the Civil War (PDF) (American Civil War)

A stunning facsimile edition of the definitive illustrated history first published by Harper's in 1866, this extraordinary effort captures the mood of America in the wake of the Civil War as no other volume could. Featuring chapters on many of the key events plus 500 engraved illustrations depicting Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson, Abraham Lincoln, and others, along with maps, plans, and diagrams of major battles.

It is to be noted that this is not a reprint of the original, but the original itself, the above; however, is one of the few descriptions i could find of the book without writing one myself.
This is a stunning primary source material for the American Civil War, and although the digital copy is nice, I encourage anyone truly interested in the subject to get an actual copy, the reprint is just as nice and can be found pretty cheaply. (it's what i have)
