The episode that was made 5 years too late!



"Genesis" opened the final season in 1962 and was directed by William Conrad, who also appears in this episode as Norge.



Conrad had played Marshal Dillon on the radio version of GUNSMOKE for 9 years, and his co-star Parley Baer (who was Chester) briefly appears here late in the story in the role of Reston. They have no scenes together though.



The strange thing about this flashback show is seeing Richard Boone play two roles -- Paladin and an old man named "Smoke".
