216 Bored, She Hung Herself (1/7/1970)

Don Miles, a "health freak", uses a hanging-type exercise to promote his well-being. His girlfriend Wanda tries it and apparently dies in the attempt. McGarrett discovers that foul play may have been involved.

Note: This episode aired once on Jan 7, 1970. Due to it's portrail of the Hari Krishna, a lawsuit was threatened. To settle any possible legal problems, CBS agreed to never air the episode again. This episode never aired in re-runs or in syndication and was not included in the Season 2 DVD release of the series. As far as I've been able to ascertain, the oft found story that it was because of fears of copycat hanging deaths is a myth. This copy is taken from a film print. The print is not great - dark in the beginning and the colors are faded -, especially compared to the quality of the episodes on the DVD releases, but it is certainly watchable and a collectors item.
