Description
East Indian - Instrumental
"Evocations of the Mughal Gardens of India" Twenty years ago today, Hearts of Space Radio, still in it's infancy - it's 3rd year in operation, offered up this hour of music for our listening pleasure. This hour of music was provided by another KAT member as a single MP3, part of a large collection (Program numbes 001 to 714). I have simply re-recorded it, spliting the music to discrete, tagged songs, and as usual, I am providing all the album art from each album represented, and a track list. Happy 20th Anniversary! Program Notes by Stephen Hill, Producer This week's program is another journey to the magical, mystical East. We call it THE PERFUMED GARDEN. We'll begin by introducing you to three pieces of sometimes whimsical, sometimes sensual music of a sitar player from Munich, Germany named AL GROMER KHAN. Then some dreamy, floating music for zither and soprano saxophone by California's STEPHEN COUGHLIN, based on an Indian raga, from an album called SONG OF THE REED. Finally, some East-West fusion music from Hawaii by BOB KINDLER, from two of the albums in his MUSIC FROM THE MATRIX series. A journey to the PERFUMED GARDEN...on Hearts of Space. Related Torrents
