This particular program by Hearts of Space was broadcast on the weekend of the Summer Solstice in 1985 - 29 years ago. I discovered that my copy of the original program (downloaded in a large group of HOS programs from here at KAT) wasn't playable. I hadn't even heard it. So I re-recorded the program. So here it is for your listening enjoyment. Not previously uploaded by me. MP3 at VBR, tracklist and program notes included.

Well, even in foggy San Francisco you can't miss the coming of summer, so we're going to call this program SUMMER LIGHT. During the first half, we'll feature a fine electric harpist from California named SUSAN MAZER, with selections from her debut album, THE FIRE IN THE ROSE, also featuring the Lyricon wind synthesizer of DALLAS SMITH. We'll continue with music by DALLAS SMITH, this time in collaboration with STEVEN HALPERN, who's been a pioneer in the field of music for relaxation.

We'll conclude with music by electronic composer WILLIAM LINTON, in Nashville, Tennessee, with a long piece called OCEAN OF DREAMS... plus music by the Canadian environmental electronics team of MYCHAEL DANNA and TIM CLEMENT...from their album SUMMERLAND. It's going to be a very beautiful and relaxing journey called SUMMER LIGHT...on this hour of Hearts of Space.
