 Space fanfares, spacecruisers, and a journey to The Field This is the one hour program from Hearts of Space Radio Show, first broadcast on the weekend of February 5, 1988. I had not uploaded this program previously, but it was on my little "Note to Self" list inside the huge collection of HOS programs that I downloaded from here... a note to "redo" it. So, I've recorded it, and here it is. Including FLAC files, and tracklist, of course. Program Notes by Stephen Hill, Producer We're going to get up to speed right away this time, cause we've got a lot of distance to cover on this program, beginning with a pair of electronic fanfares: first by a Canadian group called EXCHANGE from the Audion records sampler of new electronic music THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS, and then by RICHARD DEL MAESTRO from LANGUAGE OF THE HEART. Then we'll drop into extended cruising mode with music by WENDY CARLOS from BEAUTY IN THE BEAST, by PYRAMID from another sampler called THE VOYAGE BEYOND, and by the group LATITUDE from 40 DEGREES NORTH. At the center of our journey, two pieces by KITARO: "MYSTERIOUS ENCOUNTER" and "THE FIELD"from his 1987 album, THE LIGHT OF THE SPIRIT:. Then we'll float for awhile in the electronic sound bath of DON SLEPIAN'S "SONIC PERFUME", and conclude with a piece by another Japanese electronic artist named AZUMA.
