"Dark and hazy electronica for Scorpio"
This is the one hour program from Hearts of Space Radio Show that was first broadcast on the weekend of November 10, 2006. It's another spooky collection of melodies that I think are perfect for this Halloween season (and as my birthday falls in the astrological sign of Scorpio, I'm most pleased to share it with you all. It has not, to my knowledge, been made available as a torrent before. Music split to MP3s at VBR, as usual, and the tracklist/program notes are included.

Program Notes by Stephen Hill, Producer
The history of human communication leans heavily on sound, like this Morse code — a now vanishing artifact of the telegraph era. Language depends on sound, of course, but there's one form of communication that's purely visual and lighter than air: smoke.

In China and the Americas, smoke was used to send signals across the landscape for centuries. For most of human history, smoke was part of everyday life, but with environmental and health concerns, it looks like we won't be seeing as much of it in this century. Visually, it's too bad — a smoky autumn makes a romantic haze and really spectacular dawns and sunsets.

Luckily, ambient music can make up for the atmosphere. On this transmission of HEARTS of SPACE, a program of dark, hazy electronics and ethereal songs for Scorpio called SMOKE SIGNALS.
