Medieval, Baroque, and Sacred Music

This hour of music was specially chosen this evening in memory of our dear friend Smittech. While it is a program from Hearts of Space, it has not been uploaded here before, and it was recorded this evening. The music is classical, and sombre in tone. Several pieces were originally composed by Johann Sebastian Bach and Mozart, and they were intended for Christian devotional purposes, intended for the Church. As such, this music reminds me of the kind of music played during worship services. The final piece in this hour of music was clearly composed for a Catholic mass.

While it was not my intention to choose "church music," I was in a sombre mood and looking for something worthy of this commemoration. I discovered this selection while looking for something "new" - that I hadn't recorded or uploaded before.
As we cannot be personally present at Smitty's memorial service, perhaps this will serve, in a way, as our memorial service for our friend.
