Description
Ambient Instrumental
"Electronic Chill and Flamenco Fusion meet Sacred Chant" This is a very different hour of music from Hearts of Space Radio Show, first broadcast on the weekend of May 22, 2009. It has not been uploaded here at KAT before. Much of the music is by Enigma, and B-Tribe. As usual, the majority of the music is instrumental only, but there are pieces with voices introduced in a subtle, understated way. This hour of music is presented with very little if any breaks between songs, which made recording it as discrete MP3s very difficult. I have included at the end of the MP3 selections a single MP3 of the complete hour of music without breaks. Of course the complete 1-hour recording contains no artist names or song titles. Look to the tracklist, if that is important to you. Program Notes by Stephen Hill, Producer There's some kind of magic in the unlikely combination of Medieval Latin chants, electronics and sultry female vocals. Invented by VANGELIS in 1975, it's a sound that caught a huge wave back in 1990 when ENIGMA added dance beats to the mix. Thanks to Romanian mastermind MICHAEL CRETU, it's not only remembered fondly today, it's still evolving in the work of Cretu, as well as other musicians and producers. On this transmission of Hearts of Space, we revisit the ethereal beats at the intersection of electronic chill, atmospheric dance, Flamenco and sacred chant...on a program called SACRED AND PROFANE.
