Oom Leon Schuster may have the monopoly on slapstick South African comedies, but when it comes to taking the piss out of a rugby-mad nation like South Africa, then Paul Slabolepszy and Bill Flynn’s Heel Against The Head kicks some serious comedic butt.



Based on the duo’s multi-award winning play, the movie follows the misadventures of two small town rugby fanatics Tjokkie and Crispin who embark on a “Men’s Only” mission to support the bokke at the World Cup in Wales. It’s a loveably old school film farce in the best tradition of Laurel and Hardy and Abbott and Costello with the bushveld boys getting caught up in all kinds of capers including cash flow crises, pulling chicks and a rollercoaster ride of ducking, diving, deception and disguise.
